MAKE IT YOUR OWN

TUH 002 is an original wearable artifact from TAKEUSHOME™ Creative Archive 002.

The technique began with inspiration from a hand-painted mascot flag shirt seen on Instagram. Instead of recreating that design, I applied paint directly to the garment and used a brush to pull, press and break the color across the surface until it became something of my own.

The layered black strokes preserve the movement of the brush and the decisions made in real time. TUH 002 represents the creative process of studying inspiration, experimenting with a technique and allowing your own identity to emerge through the work.

Inspiration can open the door. What you create from it is what makes it yours.
